Meet the Student Therapists!

These therapists are in their final year of the Master of Social Work program at UGA. They are highly qualified and can provide excellent services at a more accessible rate.

  • As a therapist I focus on empowering individuals and groups to learn skills that align with their personal values, highlight their strengths, explore identity, and work toward their personal goals. I am interested in topics such as maternal health, sexual health, sexual desire and function, gender and body dysphoria, substance use disorder, anxiety, depression and life transitions such as career shifts, children and perimenopause. I draw clinical inspiration from behavioral interventions such as Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT). I often include a journal exercise as a home practice between sessions.

I have a Bachelor's degree in Fine Art and over 15 years of professional experience in the art and music industries, in addition to being trained as an E-RYT 500 registered yoga teacher (RYT) with Yoga Alliance. I have extensively explored the modality of trauma-informed yoga over the last 10 years by attending various trainings and working on teams that lead trauma-informed yoga trainings. I use these practices in my private yoga sessions and in my daily life. In the community I teach restorative yoga, chair yoga, mindfulness-based art classes and morning mindfulness. I enjoy connecting the practice of mindfulness to art making, music, movement, meditation, and therapeutic practices.

In addition to my clinical training, my hobbies include dance and yoga. I’m a certified Kathak teacher, yoga teacher, and sound bowl healer. I incorporate chakra healing into my sound bowl sessions, helping people restore energetic balance and deepen their connection to themselves. I believe in the transformative power of somatic practices to support emotional and psychological well-being, and I often integrate these modalities into my therapeutic approach.

Being part of a community that values accessibility, anti-oppression, and holistic healing is incredibly meaningful to me. I’m honored to walk alongside clients on their journey toward greater self-awareness, embodiment, and empowerment.

  • Hi! I’m Emma Hilleary, a second year MSW at the University of Georgia, and I am absolutely thrilled to be completing my practicum at Revolution Therapy and Yoga!

I am passionate about supporting clients in experiencing freedom, self-expression, and aliveness. I strongly believe in somatic approaches that center the experience of the body and the nervous system in the ongoing process of healing. I am also deeply passionate about sex education and sex positivity with a focus on empowering clients to build the skills and self-trust needed to explore pleasure, communicate their wants and needs, and honor their boundaries. My goal is to help clients feel safe, supported, and empowered as they reconnect with their inner resources and create lives filled with meaning.

I enjoy working with clients of all backgrounds and experiences, and I’m so grateful to be part of a community that values accessibility and anti-oppressive practices. My approach is grounded in identifying the unique strengths of each client and building towards more a more fulfilling, authentic experience of life in alignment with the clients’ personal values and goals.

Outside of the clinal sphere, I am a former/forever theater kid, an avid thrifter, a musician, a fierce and loyal friend, an ADHDer, and a queer romance novel enthusiast! I am a white, queer, cisgender woman who grew up in metro Atlanta but has been in the Athens area for over 6 years now! I value play, adventure, curiosity, and  connection, and I can’t wait to connect with you!
